James Forsberg

James Harold Forsberg, 65, of Grand Forks, ND died Wednesday, June 18, 2008 in his home. James "Jim" Forsberg was born May 30, 1943 in Cokato, MN the son of Harold and Sigrid (Alm) Forsberg. Jim graduated from Moorhead High in 1962. He married Lynda Peterson and became a father to 4 children, Gregory, Jamilyn, Brian and Jason. They lived in Minnesota, Michigan and Iowa before returning to Fargo-Moorhead where Jim worked in the clothing industry. In 1976, they moved to Grand Forks to pursue a career managing automotive dealerships. In 1982, Jim married Eileen (Hanson) Soberaski. After holding several positions, Jim opened his own Independent dealership, known to the Grand Forks community for nearly three decades as "Forsberg Motors". Jim sold used Cars and Trucks to everyone, to him, Customers are "King". There are many wonderful stories that tell of how Jim would barter and trade to do everything he could to help a customer buy a car. "It isn't about the glitter", Jim would say, but more about, "come as you are and have a cup of coffee while buying a nice car that you can afford". Jim and Eileen spent their summers in Grand Forks and winters in Sun City Grand, Surprise Arizona.
