Jeanne V. Kranzler, 85, Grand Forks, died Sunday, June 29, 2008 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Jeanne Vera Veldink was born to Richard Joseph Veldink and Minne Landsem on June 25, 1923 at Devils Lake, North Dakota. She attended school in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School. Jeanne and Harold Kranzler were united in marriage on February 11, 1942 in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. They made their home in Grand Forks following their marriage. She was employed by Budget Drug, White Drug, and later by Target in Grand Forks. Jeanne and Harold have been longtime members of Grace Baptist Church in Grand Forks. Jeanne was a collector of antique dolls and was a member of the local doll collector club. She also enjoyed painting on wood, greenware, and ceramics. She is survived by her husband, Harold Kranzler, Grand Forks; her children, Richard (Gail) Kranzler, Agoura Hills, CA, Steven (Toni) Kranzler, Elk River, MN, and Gerald Kranzler, Grand Forks; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson; a brother, Floyd Veldink, Portland, Oregon; a sister, Leanore Brecke, Grand Forks, ND; she is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Thomas Kranzler, and a brother, Clifford Veldink. Services: will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008 in Grace Baptist Church, 700 24th Ave South, Grand Forks. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. Prayer Service Wednesday in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St, Grand Forks and for the hour prior to the service in the church.
