Judy Lind

Judith (Gilbertson) S. Lind, 89, formerly of Mentor, MN, passed away Friday, October 19, 2007, at her home in Grand Forks. Judy was born on February 5, 1918, to Anton and Anna (Johnson) Gilbertson in Mentor, MN, where she grew up and attended schools. She was baptized and confirmed at the Rodnes Lutheran Church in Rural Erskine, MN. Judy married William Lind on March 2, 1946, in Battle Creek, MI. Judy worked for the Kellogg Company in Battle Creek, MI. After retirement, Bill and Judy moved to Brooksville, FL. Judy moved to Grand Forks in 2003, after Bill's passing. Judy was a member of United Lutheran Church of Grand Forks, and enjoyed activities at the Senior Center, playing cards, knitting, traveling, and spending time with family. Judy is survived by; sisters, Margaret Moe of East Grand Forks, MN, Dagney Tweten of Grand Forks; sister-in-law Ora Gilbertson of Detroit Lakes, MN; stepson, Ronald Lind of Battle Creek, MI; step-granddaughter Diane Lind of Battle Creek, MI, & numerous nieces, nephews, cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill; brothers, Harold & Norman; brothers-in-law Thorvald Moe and Otis Tweten. FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at United Lutheran Church 324 Chestnut St. in Grand Forks. VISITATION: The hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
