Larry G. Kvasager, 61, Forest River, North Dakota, and formerly of Grand Forks and Thompson, North Dakota, died from complications of ALS on Friday, March 28, 2008 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Larry Gene Kvasager was born to Howard and Arleen (Lebacken) Kvasager on December 17, 1946 in Grand Forks. He attended rural schools near Thompson, ND, and graduated from Thompson High School in 1964. Larry married Connie Majkrzak Westrom in July, 6, 1968. He later attended Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks. He began working at the Thompson Farmer's Elevator, later owned and operated the West Central Grain Elevator, Elbow Lake, Minnesota, managed the Red River Grain Elevator at Breckenridge, MN, and since 1996 has managed the Forest River Farmer's Elevator. In celebration of a 20 year partnership, Larry and Rebecca Johnson were united in marriage on February 22, 2008 at Fargo, North Dakota. He loved deer hunting, attending fiddle contests and playing the fiddle, collecting and building snow planes, but his pride and joy were his grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Larry is survived by his mother, Arleen Kvasager, Thompson, ND; his wife Rebecca, Forest River, ND; daughters, Tracy (Frank) Nellans, St. Cloud, MN, Terry Johnson, (Dean Staley) Seattle, WA, and Jenny (Jason) Harstad, Elbow Lake, MN; grandchildren, Ella Johnson, Luke, Noah, and Sophia Harstad, Ava, Kate, and Jack Nellans; sister, Kathryn (Gene) Johnson, Thompson, ND; brothers, Richard (Susan) Kvasager, Alexandria, MN, Gerald (Roxann) Kvasager, Rhame, ND; step-daughters, Charline (David) King, Fargo, ND, Rachel (Mark) Johnson-Perez, West Fargo, ND, and Robin Johnson, Fargo, ND; step-grandchildren, Paige King, Devin and Abygail Perez. He is preceded in death by his father, and a brother in infancy.
