Lee E. Nybo, 68, of Grand Forks, passed away after a long illness on March 24, 2008, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Lee was born on December 17, 1939, to Roald & Caroline (Blegen) Nybo in Twin Lake Township near York, ND. He graduated from Leeds High School in 1957. He attended Aaker's Business College from 1959-60. Lee married Patricia "Pat" Rourke on January 6, 1962 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks, MN. Lee worked for Western Auto Parts for over 20 years, and UND for 13 years before retiring. Lee enjoyed sports, both professional and local, and had a passion for UND athletics. He also loved to follow his grandchildren's interests and activities. Lee was a lifetime member of the East Grand Forks Fraternal Order of Eagles. Lee is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pat of Grand Forks; son, Dennis (Alison) Nybo of Bismarck, ND; daughter, Dawn (Robert) DeMers of Peoria, AZ; grandchildren, Jace Nybo, Bryce Nybo, and Tyler DeMers; nephews, Dan Nybo, David Nybo; niece, Nancy Follman; several cousins; a special mother-in-law Hazel Rourke and a sister-in-law, Janet Nybo. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Phyllis; brothers, Meryl and Donald; father-in-law, Howard Rourke; all of his aunts and uncles, and a special aunt Polly Blegen
