Lillian Rysavy

Lillian Rysavy, 87, of Grand Forks, passed into her heavenly home on Thursday, October 25, 2007. Lillian Ryba was born on April 14, 1920, in Lawton, ND, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Kasal) Ryba. Lillian was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking. She always had coffee and treats ready for relatives and friends. Lillian loved to visit and fondly remembered her friends from her sewing club, "A Stitch in Time". Lillian married George Rysavy on November 21, 1944, in Lawton, ND. They moved shortly after to Grand Forks where they raised their family. George passed away in 1979. Lillian had a special bond and relationship with her daughter Karen Rysavy who has lived and shared life with her for 46 years. No one will miss her more than Karen. In addition, she will be missed by all of her family and friends. Lillian is survived by; sons, James (Marlyce) Rysavy of Corpus Christi, TX, Don (Brenda) Rysavy of Bismarck, ND; daughter, Karen Rysavy of Grand Forks; grandchildren, Sharene, Shannon, Philip (Amanda), Andrew (Alice Ospovat) Rysavy, Kathryn, Laura; 6 great-grandchildren, Samuel, Vincent, Ana Bella, Adam, Corbin, and Simon; sisters, Carol Helle, Margarette Haave, Shirley (Alan) Kyllonen; brothers, Melvin Ryba, Duane (Delores) Ryba, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband George, sister Emma Pic, and infant brother Frank. ***In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lillian's name to AGASSIZ ENTERPRISES 2105 Gateway Dr. Grand Forks, ND 58203 FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007, at United Lutheran Church 324 Chestnut St. in Grand Forks. VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Sunday, October 28, 2007, at the Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. & the hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
