Lloyd Milton Erickson, 88, passed away Wednesday, April 09, 2008, at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks. Lloyd was born on September 4, 1919, to Fred and Hannah (Kvakland) Erickson in Inkster ND, where he was raised and educated. Lloyd served in the U.S. Navy from 1940-1946, and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He returned to help on the family farm after his honorable discharge from the Navy. Lloyd graduated from air conditioning school from the GI Bill. Lloyd married Blanche Anderson on December 19, 1954, at United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Lloyd worked for Lunseth's Plumbing, and worked for the Grand Forks Air Force Base as a civil service employee for 25 years before his retirement in 1984. Lloyd enjoyed swimming, line dancing, US Navy Ship re-unions, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Lloyd is survived by sons; Milton Erickson of Grand Forks, Tom (Suzie Burger) Erickson of Manvel, ND; daughters, Fern (Mark) Wood of Grand Forks, Donna (Darwin) Brokke of Devils Lake, Louise Dietzler of Grand Forks, Marge (Michael) Cole of North Bend, OR, Diane "Dede" (Paul) Iverson of Grand Forks; son-in-law, Gary (Marybeth) Pulkrabek of East Grand Forks, MN; special friend, Loretta Heyd of Grand Forks; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Blanche; 3 brothers, 3 sisters; daughter, Rae Ann Pulkrabek and son-in-law, Roy Dietzler. Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church 1710 Cherry St. in Grand Forks, ND. Visitation: Friday, April 11, 2008, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer service at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks, & the hour before the Funeral Service at the church. Interment: Elk Valley Cemetery, McCanna, ND
