Peggy Nikle

Margaret "Peggy" Nikle, 87, Grand Forks, ND died Friday, December 21, 2007 in the Good Samaritan Nursing Center of Larimore, ND. Margaret "Peggy" Gibson was born October 3, 1920 in Ipswich, SD the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Royal) Gibson. She was raised, educated and graduated from high school in Oakes, ND. She lived and worked in Tacoma, WA for a short time. Peggy married Leo Nikle on October 29, 1945 at St. Paul's Cathedral in St. Paul, MN. They lived in Grand Forks where Peggy worked for Hugo's Bakery, Hardee's and for the University of North Dakota Student Union Food Service. Leo Nikle died October 12, 2003. Peggy Loved spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren. She loved to dance and had a great sense of humor. She had a laugh that could fill the room. Survivors include sons, Thomas, Grand Forks, Timothy (Kerry), Grand Forks and Trenton (Brenda), Elk River, MN; grandchildren, Joshua (Erin) Nikle, Fargo, ND, Cassidy (Scott) Rhondeau, Grand Forks, Justin Nikle, Boulder, CO and Christina Nikle, Elk River, MN; great grandchildren, Alyssa and Courtney Rhondeau, Grand Forks and Abigail and Liam Nikle, Fargo, ND; sisters, Patty (Jerry) Coon, Oakes, ND, Cora Ridder, Casselton, ND; brothers, Tim (Irene) Gibson, Oakes, ND, Larry (Pat) Gibson, Frazee, MN and Mike (Barb) Gibson, Milwaukie, OR; sister-in-law, Florence Gibson, Oakes, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Nikle; son, Todd Nikle; sister, Daisy (Ole) Nassen; brothers, Sam Gibson and Bill (Della) Gibson; a close family member, Harry Gibson and brother-in-law, Lynn Ridder.
