Mary Ann Staveteig, 77, Grand Forks, ND, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND Mary Ann Arlene Meyers was born February 12, 1930 on the Meyers home farm west of Thompson, ND to Albert and Alice (Miller) Meyers. She was raised, educated and graduated from high school at Thompson, ND. She married Robert Staveteig on June 23, 1948 in Grand Forks, ND. Mary Ann served as a 4-H leader for many years. She belonged to the VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. She was well known by all for her wonderful cooking and crocheting. Survivors include her loving husband, Robert, Grand Forks; daughters, Sandra Frick, Portland, ME, Cheryl (Jeff) Nelson, Grand Forks, Patricia (Les) Roos, Grand Forks, Diane (Mike) Walker, San Diego, CA, Mary (Patrick) Lunak, Grand Forks and Bobbie (Mitch) Ostrom, Finley, ND; grandchildren, Jeff (Aggie) Frick, Traci (Mike Leslie) Frick, Todd (Melady) Frick, Casey (Kristen) Frick, Angie (Rob) Moran, Eric (Amy) Woodbeck, Brianna Nelson, Jason (Sara) Roos, Kelly Roos, Stephanie Walker, Matt Walker, Robb (Tracy) Lunak, Joshua Lunak, Zachary (Jordan Bollinger) Lunak, Tanner Ostrom, Dillan Ostrom and Karlie Ostrom; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Adams, Stagecoach, NV, LaVerne VonRueden, Grand Forks and Lila Loun, Grand Forks. She was preceded in death by her parents, by a daughter, Pamela; grandson, Aaron Woodbeck; infant sister, Bernice and a son-in-law, Tom Frick. Memorials are asked to be directed to Altru Cancer Center of Grand Forks or United Lutheran Church Air Conditioning Fund.
