Orville Everett Hulst, Gilby, ND died at Altru Hospital, Sunday, June 22, 2008. Orville was born August 14, 1924 in Burlington, Iowa. He was the oldest son of Herman and Karoline Hulst. They moved to North Dakota and lived in the Larimore and Inkster area. Orville served in the MP Corps of the United State Army. Orville married Lura Irwin on June 24, 1947, at the Holiness Methodist Church near Ardoch, ND. The couple lived their entire married life on their farm northwest of Gilby, ND. A life-long farmer, Orville never really retired. He loved the land and was always interested in the latest agricultural advances. He and Lura worked for the ASCS measuring land and bins. For many years, in the winter, he would work at the GFAFB as a part of the snow removal team. He also was a talented carpenter who worked with several friends to build homes in the Gilby area. He was a loving family man devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. He is survived by: Wife: Lura Sons: Stephen (Connie) ? Inkster, ND Scott (Janet) ? Valley City, ND Darlyne (Arvid) Bode ? Sauk Rapids, MN Sister-in-law: Ruth Wilson ? Denver, CO Grandchildren: Keith, Robert and Paul Radke Nicholas Hulst, Mandy Eastman, Brian, Chris, Jeff and Danny Mapes Tanner, Randi and Madison Hulst. Great Grandchildren: Cole, Karson, Drew, Spencer and Cooper Mapes Miranda, Ashley, Sam, Jack and David Radke Chace Amundson. Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
