Richard Yoney

Richard A. "Dick" Yoney, 72, Grand Forks, ND died Sunday, May 18, 2008 in Rochester, MN. Richard was born on December 18, 1935 in Michigan, ND the son of William and Irene (Peterson) Yoney. He was raised and educated in the Michigan and Petersburg, ND areas. He helped on the family farm until entering the U.S. Army. He returned to Petersburg to work as a semi driver for Reiten Implement. Richard married Judy Kinneberg on November 5, 1960 in Grand Forks. They lived in Grand Forks where Richard worked for the US Postal Service. He later worked for the North Dakota Army National Guard until he was medically retired. Dick enjoyed fishing, working outdoors, his weekly visits with friends, spending time with family, and doing activities with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Judy, Grand Forks; son, Brian (Tina) Yoney, Denver, CO; daughter, Darcie (Todd) Arend, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Megan Yoney, Erika Yoney, Bobby Arend, Kayla Skinner, Cody Arend, Cory Arend, Tyler Skinner, Emily Arend, Ashley Skinner and Logan Arend; mother, Irene Yoney, Lakota, ND; sisters, Darlene (Marvin) Jallo, Petersburg, ND and Peggy (Dwight "Swede") Johnson, Petersburg, ND; brothers, Merle (Dorothy) Yoney, Marysville, WA, Terry (Bonnie) Yoney, Fargo, ND and Mike (Vicki) Yoney, Petersburg, ND. Richard was preceded in death by his father and by a brother Dennis.
