Roger Swedin

Roger Dennis Swedin, 66, began his heavenly walk on May 17, 2008, after a long battle with cancer, he died surrounded by family. Roger was born to Olga and Carl Swedin in Northfield, MN, on January 9, 1942. He was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Northfield. He also attended High School in Northfield. At the age of 18 Roger joined the US Navy and served 2 years. Roger worked for many years as a mason in the Northfield area in the summer and during the winter months he loved to travel down south to either Arizona or Texas and work. In 1995, Roger started his own business, The Intimidator Pro Polish, which he promoted all over the United States. Roger love to travel, he also had a passion for fishing. Roger is survived by his children: Ronnie Reeverts of Hager City, WI, Amy (Brian) Olson of Waverly, MN, Vern (Darcey) Swedin of Owattona, MN, Carla (Larry) Novak of Lonsdale, MN, Cary-Sue (Jeffery) Hendrickson of Thompson, ND, Shannon Swedin of Grand Forks, Sondra (Todd) Sackewitz of Fayetteville, NC; 17 grandchildren, and a sister Betty (Art) Schuette of Northfield, MN; and one great-grandchild. Roger was preceded in death by a daughter Jessica Swedin and his parents. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks, ND. Visitation: Tuesday, May 20, 2008, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at Amundson Funeral Home, & the hour before the funeral service.
