Ronald Greer

Ronald Greer, 78, died Monday , October 29, 2007 at his home in the Gilby-Johnstown area. Ronald Greer was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on April 12, 1929 to Art Henry and Clara Eliza (Davey) Greer. He attended school at Gilby and Johnstown, graduating from Gilby High School in 1948. He served in the US Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He married Frances C. Cawley on October 24, 1953 in Grand Forks. They lived and farmed in the Gilby-Johnstown, North Dakota area. He retired from farming in 1976. He was an active member of Forest River Community Church. Together with his brother, Bobby, he built a 4 wheel drive tractor, one of their many projects. Ronald also enjoyed woodworking. Ronald is survived by his wife, Frances; sons, Richard (Mary) Greer, Bemidji, Minnesota, David Greer, Devils Lakes, North Dakota; grandchildren, Andy, Isaiah, Alayna, and AnnaMarie. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Bobby Greer.
