Steven Nygaard

Steven Ken Nygaard Jr., 21, of Grand Forks, died suddenly on April 21, 2008, at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Steven was born on January 18, 1987, to Steven & Beverly (Hextell) Nygaard in Grand Forks, where he grew up and attended school. Steven loved to work on computers. He also played in the band "MXROCKET" formerly known as "TKOC". He enjoyed working at Deek's Pizza and loved spending time with friends and family. Steven is survived by his parents Steven and Beverly; grandparents, Kenneth & Violet Nygaard; grandfather, Harry Hextell; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Mildred Roseland; grandparents, Esther & Walter Anderson, Elevera & Bernard Hextell; uncle, Bryan Hextell; and great-grandparents, Frank & Dora Nienas and Halvor & Ella Nygaard. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2008, at Zion Methodist Church 1001 24th Ave. S. in Grand Forks. VISITATION: 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks. Visitation will continue for the hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
