Sumner Wilcox

Sumner "Tex","Bud" Wilcox 85, of Gilby, ND died Saturday, December 15, 2007 in his home. Sumner Ray Wilcox was born May 27, 1922 in Gilby, ND. The son of Ray and Clara (Whipple) Wilcox. He grew up and attended school in Gilby, ND graduating from high school there in 1940. Sumner married Rachael Bardell in St. Paul's Church, Rugby, ND, on January 22, 1961. They lived in Gilby where Sumner farmed and did carpentry work in the area until he retired from farming in 1984. Sumner was also a very talented woodcarver. He was a lifelong resident of Gilby and loved by all in the community. He will be greatly missed. Sumner is survived by: Nephew: Randy (Debbie) Wilcox ?
