Veronica Vasicek

Veronica A. Vasicek, 64, Grand Forks, ND died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in Valley Eldercare, Grand Forks. She previously resided at 1639 24th Ave S. Veronica was born March 22, 1944 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of William and Frances (Herda) Vasicek. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School. Veronica was a dance instructor for The Kay School of Dance in Grand Forks. She also danced with the North Dakota Ballet. She lived in Minneapolis and Chicago before returning to Grand Forks. Veronica enjoyed books and singing. She loved helping with the care and raising of children. She was a volunteer for ARC of the Upper Valley Thrift Store who recognized her service with a special award. Survivors include her mother, Frances Vasicek, Grand Forks; sisters, Kay "Kata" (Richard) Novak, Minneapolis, MN, Mary (Paul) Westerlund, Golden Valley, MN, F. Angela (Quintin) Rottering, Webster City, IA; brothers, Bill (Laurie) Vasicek, Grand Forks and Albert (Patti) Vasicek, Chicago, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
