Vicki Kopp

Vicki Ann Kopp, 53, died peacefully April 17, 2008, in her home in Grand Forks. Vicki was born on December 10, 1954, the daughter of Ron & Shirley (Martin) Forness in Mobridge, SD. She grew up in Mandan, ND, and graduated from Mandan High School. Vicki received a BS in Nursing from the University of North Dakota. She worked as an Oncology Nurse at Altru Hospital on the 6th floor before her retirement in 2005. She married John Kopp on September 29, 1973. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Vicki was a creative, compassionate woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of others. She especially enjoyed gardening, camping, crafting, traveling, reading, and her grandchildren. Vicki is survived by her husband, John Kopp; daughters, Sarah (Charles) Heitkamp, Bethany (Richard McCaffery) Kopp, Lasha (Matt) Oss; her parents Ron and Shirley; grandchildren, Farrah, Navy, and Oakley; and sister, Lori Watson. She was preceded in death by her brother Greg Forness. MEMORIAL SERVICES: 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2008, at Augustana Lutheran Church 520 University Ave. in Grand Forks. Food & fellowship will follow the memorial service at the church.
