Wayne Becker

Wayne Becker, age 64, of Grand Forks, ND, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Altru Hospital. Born April 11, 1944, he was the second child of Alverna and Leo. He attended St. James High School. In 1977, he married Linda. Wayne worked for Eddy's Bakery for 16 years, followed by the City of Grand Forks for 27 years. He was a dedicated, hardworking man who was admired and respected by all. Wayne was a devoted husband and father who redefined character, integrity, and commitment. His daughters describe him as "a man who was more than he had to be and loved beyond measure." Wayne is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters Janelle (Jim) Mottley of Las Cruces, New Mexico; LynDele (Paul) Hamann of Grand Forks; step-daughter, Sheila (Bob) Giorgetti of Medford, Oregon; sister, Wanda (Jerry) Nelson of New Richmond, Wisconsin; and six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.
