Artice O. Brandt

Artice O. Brandt, 76, of Grand Forks passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008. She was at home surrounded by her family singing her to heaven. Artice was born August 20th, 1931 daughter of Oliver and Pearl Jorde. She attended school in Manvel and Gilby, North Dakota where she met Louie G. Brandt in a potato field. They were married October 6th, 1950 in Cresco, Iowa. JR Simplot employed her for 31 years until she retired in 2003. Artice and Louie founded Grand Forks Christian Center and spent many years together doing Gods work. Her husband, Louie, of 57 years, survives her along with her children: George (Donna) Walhalla, ND, Sidney (Cheryl) Walhalla, ND, Pamela (Ronald) Ishii, Rio Rancho NM, Susan Brandt, Burdette, Alberta Canada, Jane Simmons, Amarillo, TX, Timothy (Courtney) Grand Forks, LuAnn (Greg) Slabaugh, Grand Forks and Amy (Joseph) Koplin, Grand Forks, 16 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.Sisters, Peggy Herberg of Mekinock and Ona Vessey of GRand Forks. Artice is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Clyde Jorde. THERE WILL BE A PRAYER SERVICE AT 7PM ON TUESDAY AT AMUNDSON FUNERAL HOME.
