Marcus D. Farden, 63, Grand Forks, ND died Monday, August 18, 2008 in the Villa St.Vincent of Crookston, MN. Marcus passed peacefully with his wife Judi and stepdaughter Barbara by his side one year and three months after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Marcus was born August 6, 1945 in Lawton, North Dakota the son of Edward and Hilda (Hamilton) Farden. He was raised and educated in Edmore, ND. He grew up working with his father in the blacksmith trade. He lived in California, Detroit Lakes, MN and Devils Lake, ND before settling in Grand Forks, ND. He worked for Northwest Packaging of Emerado, ND. Marcus also helped several farmers in the Grand Forks area. He retired due to a disability. Marcus loved working with tools. He enjoyed mechanical tinkering and restoring cars. He also enjoyed road trips, fishing, deer hunting and especially enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, entertaining friends in the garage and riding his bicycle. Marcus married Judi Hanson (Cooper) on July 9, 1998 in Grand Forks, ND. She survives along with Marcus? daughters, Jennifer (Tom) Baskin, Moses Lake, WA, Errin Sohl, Kettle Falls, WA; Judi?s daughters, Barbara (Chris) Scholler, Grand Forks, Rebecca Devine, Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Joseph and Taylor Baskin, Megan, Alex and Robbie Sohl; sister, Doris (Don) Ling, Lake City, FL; brothers, Leverne (Margaret), Buxton, ME, John, Hawthorne, NV along with nieces and nephews.
