Dorine S. Apanian

Dorine S. Apanian, 73, Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, August 23, 2008 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Dorine Sarah Korman was born May 15, 1935 in Barton, ND the daughter of Earl and Minnie (Thingvold) Korman. She was raised and educated in Kramer and Souris, ND and graduated from Souris High School. Dorine graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing in Fargo in 1956. Dorine married Ronald Apanian on September 16, 1956 in Souris, ND. They lived in Grand Forks where Dorine worked as a nurse at St Michael's Hospital before devoting herself fulltime to her family. Dorine was selfless in loving and caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time at their Buck Lake cabin, attending Sioux sporting events, and being an avid supporter of her grandchildren's many activities. Survivors include her husband, Ronald, Grand Forks, ND; daughters Cris (Dann) Johnson and Roni Lillehaugen, both of Grand Forks; sons, Steve (Teri), Woodbury, MN and Dave (Terri), Cumming, GA; Grandchildren, Brent, Derek (Lisa), Justin, Laura, Brenna, AmberLee, Emily, Kristopher, Anthony, Sarah, Blake, Lindsey and Tara; twin brother, Darrell (Carol) Korman, Alaska; sisters-in-law, Carolynne Korman, Anchorage, Alaska and Eloise Nordby, Minot, ND. Dorine was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Chase Apanian, and brother Robert Korman.
