Margaret Svanfridur (Kristjanson) Thomasson

Margaret Svanfridur Kristjanson, born to Barney and Kristbjorg Kristjanson on December 12, 1920, passed away Monday, Sept. 1, 2008. She made her transition while at home with her immediate family. Margaret Kristjanson married Richard E. (Dick) Thomasson on Oct 26. 1940. They had two children, Richard F. and Charlene S. Thomasson. Margaret and Dick lived in Gardar, North Dakota until 1960 when they moved to Grafton, ND. Margaret moved to Grand Forks after her husband died. Margaret moved to Kent, Washington in August of 2007 to live with her son, Rick. She broke her hip in April, 2008 and gradually declined from that incident. Margaret Thomasson is survived by two children, Rick Thomasson and wife Pam, Kent, WA. And Charlene Thomasson Woodell and husband Tim, El Paso, TX., four grandchildren, Ricky Thomasson and wife Heather, Kristine Greenwood and husband Brandon, Timera Drake and husband James, Brandon Woodell and wife Misty , five great grandchildren, Isabella Thomasson, Tristen Gerber, Gabriella Greenwood, Felicity Woodell and Aspen Woodell; three sisters, Lara Stanton, Anna Brorson and Rosa Thorfinnson, and one brother, S.J. (Sibbie) Kristjanson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and her husband. Services in Kent, WA will be Saturday, Sept. 6 @ 1:00PM at Marlatt Funeral Home and in Grand Forks, North Dakota on Friday, Sept 12 @ 2:00 PM at the Amundson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
