Kenneth Brenna, 81, of Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, September 6, 2008 in Valley Eldercare Center, Grand Forks, ND. Kenneth Brenna's grandparents came from Norway and homesteaded in Grand Forks on a farm. They started a township called Brenna Township that still today holds that name. Kenneth was born there on November 10, 1926, the son of Henry and Bessie (Julson) Brenna. Kenneth started learning the trade of upholstery at age 15. He entered the United States Army at age 19 and served his country during the Korean Conflict before being honorably discharged. Kenneth married Ruth Buck on April 1, 1948 in Grand Forks. Kenneth resumed his career in upholstery with Norby's Upholstering and retired with Andersons Upholstery for a total of about 45 years. Durind his life he enjoyed watching his grandsons play hockey and baseball games. One of his greatest loves was fishing with his son Dick and all of his grandchildren. Survivors include: Wife: Ruth Brenna - Grand Forks Son: Dick (Peaches) Brenna - Grand Forks Daughter: Roberta (Ralph) Przybylski - Roseau, MN Grandchildren Scott and Cory Lundeen, Jenny Staller, Meggan Burns and lots of great grand children, nieces and nephews. Sisters: Irene Mathison - Grand Forks Betty Anderson - Grand Forks Bunny Nordby - Colorado Springs, Colorado Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Bessie Brenna; two brothers, Kenneth and Willard; and a granddaughter Lizanne Brenna.
