Arleen C Kvasager

April 18, 1924 — September 29, 2008

Arleen Clarice Kvasager, 84, Thompson, died peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2008 at home with family. Arleen was born April 18, 1924 to Chester and Annie (Nelson) Lebacken. She was raised and educated in rural Reynolds, North Dakota. On November 4, 1944 she married Howard Kvasager, who died October 3, 1996. They made their home in rural Thompson where they farmed. Arleen was employed at S & L Department Store for 7 years and at Sears, working primarily in the boys department for 23 years. When she retired from Sears she cleaned for several families in the Grand Forks area. She was a devoted member of Walle Lutheran Church and always considered it an honor to serve, take care of and feed her family and friends. She is survived by her sons Richard (Susan) Kvasager, Alexandria, MN, Gerald (Roxann) Kvasager, Rhame, ND; daughter Kathryn (Gene) Johnson, Thompson, ND; daughter-in-law, Becky Kvasager, Forest River, ND; grandchildren, Tracy (Frank) Nellans, Terry Johnson, Jennifer (Jason) Harstad, Kim (Jeff) Rustad, Steve (Lisa) Johnson, Jaime Kvasager, Christa (Aaron) Olsen, David Kvasager, Tim (Andrea) Kvasager, Todd Kvasager and Tori (Leif) Schmidt; great grandchildren, Ava, Kate and Jack Nellans, Ella Johnson, Luke, Noah and Sophia Harstad, Chelsie and Jacob Johnson and Claire, Marlys, Chloe Kvasager and Addison Kvasager; brothers, Orlando Lebacken, Grand Forks, Le Roy Lebacken, St Cloud, MN; sisters Dolores Kvasager, Iola (Arvin) Kvasager, Marion (Kenneth) Kvasager, all of Grand Forks. Sisters-in-law, Thelma Jenson, Fisher, MN, Linda Wurden, Bloomington, MN and Kay Kvasager, Grand Forks, ND. And several nieces and nephews. Arleen was preceded in death by her husband Howard; sons Howard Ardell and Larry; her parents, brother, Duane Lebacken and brothers-in-law Elner and Norris Kvasager; sisters-in-law Evelyn Charlson, Mae Lebacken and Betty Lebacken.
