Ray Norman Monsebroten

Ray Norman Monsebroten, 48, passed away on October 18, 2008. Ray was born to Norman & Eleanor Monsebroten on January 15, 1960, at Park River, ND. He attended school there until 1969 when he moved with his family to Grand Forks. He completed grade school and High School in Grand Forks before moving to Williston, ND, and then onto Alaska to work in the oil fields. He returned to Grand Forks in 1989 and has resided here and been employed by Concrete Inc. Ray had a wonderful, impish sense of humor that will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His kind hearted generosity in always helping others showed his true character. Ray loved country drives, working in the garage, helping people repair things, and enjoyed lying on the couch watching Westerns. He was also the personal chauffeur of his sisters on many occasions. Ray is survived by his mother, Eleanor Monsebroten of Grand Forks; sisters, Nancy (Bones) Adams of Onalaska, WI, Sally Ahles of Grand Forks, Betty (Scott) Otteson of Grand Forks; brothers, Jeff (Anita) Monsebroten of Union, ND, Lyle (Carol) Monsebroten of Frontenac, MN; three nephews, Nathan, Andy, and Noah, and two nieces; Amanda and Gabbi. He was preceded in death by his loving father Norman and brother, Russell. ***In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to::: Park River Cemetery Association 7204 134th Ave. NE Park River, ND 58270. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Sharon Lutheran Church 1720 S. 20th St. in Grand Forks. VISITATION: Wednesday, October 22, 2008, from 5:00-7:30 p.m. with a 7:30 prayer service at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks, ND. The visitation will continue for the hour prior to the funeral service at the church. INTERMENT: Memorial Park Cemetery, Park River, ND.
