Carol L Berg

Carol L. Berg, 68, of Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, November 1, 2008 surrounded by her family in the Palliative Care Unit at Meritcare Hospital. Carol LaMae Berg was born July 9, 1940 in Cando, ND the daughter of Leo and Cora (Christopherson) Bursinger. She grew up and attended school in Bisbee, ND and graduated from high school there. Carol attended the Trinity School of nursing in Minot and earned her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Moorhead State Univeristy. She then attended the University of Arizona and earned her Master of Nursing Degree. Carol worked at St. Lukes Hospital in Fargo, and a hospital in West Virginia. In 1980 she moved to Grand Forks and worked as a professor at the University of North Dakota College of Nursing, until retiring in 2004. Carol enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren, fishing at the lake, woodworking, reading and gardening. She will be greatly missed. Carol is survived by: Son: Brian (Jennifer) Berg - Fargo, ND Daughter: Andrea Berg - Lake Ida, MN Brother: Charles (Carol) Bursinger - Bisbee, ND Rodney (Joyce) Bursinger - Bottineau, ND Sister: Barbara (Arvid) Oakland - Bisbee, ND Lynette (Anthony) Galow - Bisbee, ND Grandchildren: Dylan Berg, Maryn Berg, Regan Berg and Jace Berg. She was preceded in death by her parents.
