Hilda I. Grantham, 92, East Grand Forks, MN died Monday, November 3, 2008 in Edgewood Vista, East Grand Forks, MN. Hilda Irene Benson was born August 23, 1916 in Bagley, MN the daughter of Edward and Olga (Olson) Benson. She was raised and educated in Bagley, MN. Hilda married Ross Grantham on September 18, 1937 in Larimore, ND. They farmed near Emerado, ND and Mentor, MN. In 1959 they opened Grantham's Shoe Shop in Erskine, MN and in 1964 they relocated their business to East Grand Forks, MN. She was a member of Family of God Church in East Grand Forks, MN. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as spending time in her garden. Hilda is survived by her son, Rodney (Kathy) Grantham, East Grand Forks, MN; grandchildren, Candice Grantham, Kent, WA, Loretta (Charles) Bush, East Grand Forks, MN and Katie Grantham, Kent, WA; great grandchildren, Ross, Judd and Jada; sisters, Ruby Severson and Florence Severson both of IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, Glenn Benson and sisters, Gladys Severson and Mabel Evermoen.
