Agnes Gudrun Faulkner

Agnes G. Faulkner, 93, Grand Forks, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Agnes Gudrun Berkeland, the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Carlson) Berkeland, was born July 18, 1915 at Thompson, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in the rural Thompson area and attended Grand Forks Central High School. She was baptized and confirmed at East Walle Lutheran Church, Thompson, North Dakota. Agnes Berkeland and Otis Faulkner were united in marriage on November 18, 1935. They lived in Inkster, North Dakota for 9 years prior to moving to Grand Forks. Otis died December 8, 1984. Agnes was employed locally by Pillsbury until she retired at age 62. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, solitaire and crossword puzzles. She is survived by her children, Delories (Robert) Deitz, Grand Forks, Barbara Faulkner, East Grand Forks, David (Priscilla) Faulkner, Ft. Collins, Colorado, Carol Faulkner, Grand Forks, Pamela Faulkner (Gary Pariseau); 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Mary Kay Odenthal, a great-grandson, Aaron Robertson, brothers, Torbin, Carl and Arnold, and sisters, Bessie Walsh, Marie Carr, Olavia Walsh, Alma Biggie, and Ruby Moal. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2008 in University Lutheran Church, 2122 University Ave, Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. Prayer Service Wednesday, November 19, 2008 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks and for the hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
