Edwood W. Martinson

Edwood Martinson, 94, Grand Forks, ND died Friday, November 28, 2008 in the Northwood Deaconess Health Center, Northwood, ND. Edwood Andrew Wendell Martinson was born March 21, 1914 in Fairfax County, SD, the son of Lars and Hilda (Peterson) Martinson. He was raised and educated in Fairfax County and lived and farmed there for many years. Edwood married Evelyn Johnson on July 7, 1938 in Bristow, NE. In the spring of 1963, they moved to Mentor, MN where they lived and farmed. Evelyn died October 7, 1967. Edwood married Elizabeth Graham on May 24, 1969. He then moved to Grand Forks where Edwood worked for Grand Forks Glass and Paint and spent summers at their home on Maple Lake. Elizabeth died August 27, 2005. Edwood was a lifelong member of Rosedale Covenant Church of Bristow, NE. Survivors include sons, Wendell (Judy) Martinson, Emerado, ND and Wayne Martinson, Selinsgrove, PA; granddaughter, Minda (Jason) Villiard, Fargo, ND; step grandsons, Craig (Nicole) Rheaume, West Fargo, ND, Lindsey (Cindy) Rheaume, Arlington, VA; 7 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives; brothers, Manfred and Felix; sisters, Grace and Helga.
