Florence C. Earl

Florence C. Earl, 89, Grand Forks, died on November 27, 2008, at 4000 Valley Square Oakcrest. Florence was born on December 9, 1918, in New Rockford. She grew up and graduated from high school in East Grand Forks, MN. Florence married James Earl on December 30, 1937. They recently had a 70th Anniversary. Florence was actively involved with the family farm. She also was a local office administrator for Senator Quentin Burdick, and worked for the downtown Hallmark store. Florence attended and was active at Wesley United Methodist church, The Rebekah's, "The Happy Homemakers", & The Santa Claus Girls. Florence is survived by daughter, Linda (Maribeth) Maron of Sauk Rapids, MN; son, Douglas (Cindy) Earl of Grand Forks; grandchildren, James (Courtney) Maron of Winneconne, WI, Valerie (Rob) Boles of Lantana, TX, Derek Earl of Grand Forks, Lindsay Earl of Grand Forks; and 6 great-grandchildren, Rebekah, James, Katherine, and Jaclyn Boles, and Mason and Chloe Maron; siblings, Naomi Gaston of Carlisle, IA, Blanche Lealos of East Grand Forks, Stanley (Jackie) Johnston of East Grand Forks, and Nadyne (Ansel) Dickerson of Mechanicsville, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl; parents, and siblings Carlton Jr., Eugene, Joyce, Clarence, Phyllis, James, DeWitt, and J.C. Funeral Services: Monday, December 1, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks. Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral service. Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Forks, ND.
