Helen W. Holweger, 81, of Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, December 6, 2008 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Helen W. Nash was born July 14, 1927 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Christen and Cora (Nash) Thompson. She grew up and attended school in Grand Forks and attended Aakers business College. Helen married Arthur Holweger on August 1, 1945 in East Grand Forks, MN. Arthur died in 2002. She worked at a local restaurant as a waitress and also worked for Mayor Mike Polovitz for a short time. Helen was an avid reader, she served as a den mother for Cub Scouts, a Sunday school teacher and was a very devoted member of the Zion United Methodist Church. Helen's recent accomplishment was learning to play the piano. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
