Delores Klaire Amundson

Delores K. Amundson, 78, of Williston, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Delores Klaire Amundson was born on October 22, 1930, in Williston, ND, the daughter of John & Dorothy (Wickum) Snildahl. Delores grew up and attended school in the Williston area. Delores married Chester Amundson on Nov. 6, 1948, in Williston, ND. Delores worked as a nurse and dental assistant in Tioga, ND, before she and her husband moved back to Williston. She worked for Dr. T.C. Ritter as a dental assistant until her retirement. Chester died on May 14, 2006. Delores was a member of the Tioga Legion Women's Auxiliary Post #139. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by a son; John Amundson of Williston; daughter, Susan (Jack) Eisenzimmer of Grand Forks; grandchildren, Loren Eisenzimmer of Fargo, Michele (Tom) Karel of Thompson, ND, Alicia (Ryan) Olmstead of Richfield, MN, Rebecca Eisenzimmer of Grand Forks, and Abby Eisenzimmer of Grand Forks; great-grandchildren, Paige, Justin, Evan, and Beth; cousin, Sharon (Shim) Schmiginski of Williston; brother-in-law, Irving (Helen) Amundson of Rapid City, SD; sisters-in-law, Darlene Harms of Brighton, CO, and Elaine Heen of Helena, MT; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester and a sister Margaret. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2008, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND.
