Harriet M. Jankowski, 84, Grand Forks died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Harriet was born to Carl and Lenore (Whitehead) O'Neil on April 20, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was raised and educated in Ohio. She married Raymond Anderson. She later married Kenneth Kuehne. Her last marriage was to Alfred Jankowski. Harriet was a wonderful mother. She taught Sunday school, played piano and organ, painted, did needlepoint. She made clothing, doll clothing, clown outfits, and was a clown in many events. She enjoyed dancing and gardening. She did some nursing and was a foster parent. Her children were raised with foster children in their home. She was quite active in the community when they lived in Illinois. She is survived by her children, Carol Hutton, Grand Forks, Charles (Michelle) Kuehne, Occoguan, VA, and Susan (Steve) Thompson, Preston, CT; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Lenora (Jim) Maloney, Largo, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, three husbands; a daughter, Maryann Klein; a son, Robert John Kuehne; and brothers, Robert O'Neil and Jack O'Neil Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation from 9:30 to 10:30. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
