Wayne Ardis Petsinger

Wayne Petsinger, 80, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away March 5, 2009 at home with his family at his side. Wayne was born March 9, 1928 in Rock Lake, North Dakota to Alois and Minnie Petsinger. He married Norma Juntunen on June 20, 1948 and they farmed in the Rock Lake area until 1966 when he began farming near Arvilla. Wayne lived his life enjoying the three things most important to him; his faith in Jesus, his family and his farm. All in his family have been fortunate to have his example of always caring for others before himself, treating everyone with respect and acting with integrity. Wayne was a member of Trinity Free Lutheran Church in Grand Forks Wayne is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma Petsinger; children, Gloria (Keith) Olson of Plano, Texas, Connie (Gary) Kleven of Grand Forks, Duane (Martha) Petsinger of Arvilla, Ron (Cindy) Petsinger of Arvilla, Linda (Mike) Leddige of Portland, Oregon, fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a sister, Ila Langerud.. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Lyle and Mike. FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Trinity Free Lutheran Church 3426 Chestnut St. in Grand Forks. VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral service at the church. INTERMENT: (Later Spring) Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
