Jess Carl

Jess A. Carl, 78, of Grand Forks, ND died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Jess Carl was born October 24, 1930 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Jess and Carrie(Frye) Carl. Jess grew up and attended school in Grand Forks and graduated from St. James Academy. He served his country as a member of the Army Reserves. Jess married Virginia Roberts on January 7, 1951 in Grand Forks. They made their home in Grand Forks and Jess operated Furniture City. Jess then worked for UND and in retirement he drove the Cities Area Transit bus. Jess loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was very active at University Lutheran Church and served on the board at Valley Memorial Homes. Jess was a very dedicated worker and took great pride in his work. He will be greatly missed.
