Robert C. Jenson

Robert C. Jenson, 85, of Grand Forks, passed away on April 8, 2009, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Robert Jenson was born at Reynolds, ND, the son of Johnny & Lillian Jenson on September 14, 1923. He lived on the farm with his parents until graduating from high school. After attending a trade school in Grand Forks, Robert moved to Bremerton, WA, and worked at Puget Sound Navy Yard. In 1945, Robert returned to Reynolds. He married Yvonne Nesvig of Buxton. He went into the U.S. Army and lived in Petersburg, VA. After moving back to Grand Forks, Robert & Yvonne operated service stations for 15 years. Robert then began a career with the U.S. Postal service and retired in 1989. Robert and Yvonne enjoyed traveling and did lots of fishing. Yvonne passed in 2000. Robert is survived by nephews, David Nesvig, Richard (Lois) Nesvig, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters; Gaynelle & Vivian. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2009, at Sharon Lutheran Church 1720 S. 20th St. in Grand Forks. VISITATION: One hour before the funeral service at the church. INTERMENT: (Spring) Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
