Elmo R Gullekson

Elmo Rae Gullekson, 69, of Grand Forks, ND died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Valley Eldercare Center, Grand Forks due to complications with Multiple Sclerosis. Elmo R. Gullekson was born August 30, 1939 in Crookston, MN the son of Virgil and Leona(Carlson) Gullekson. He grew up and attended grade school in Beltrami and graduated from high school in Fertile, MN. He also attended the University of North Dakota and Aakers Business College. Elmo married Joy Creighton on Dec. 20, 1960 in Grand Forks, ND. He worked for Nodak Rural Electric upon finishing his education. While he was working at Nodak Rural Electric Elmo took a leave of absence and served in the U.S. Army. He served one of his enlisted years in Korea. Elmo continued to work for Nodak Rural Electric and retired in May 1990 due to his disability. Elmo was a volunteer at Options Resource Center as long as his health permitted it and a member of the First Church of God. He will be greatly missed.
