Bertha M Urseth

Bertha M. Urseth, 93, of Grand Forks, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009, at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks. Bertha was born on June 1, 1915, in Leroy, ND, the daughter of Leon & Amanda (Beliveau) Dubourt. Her mother died when she was 3 years old from the Flu epidemic of 1918. In 1922, her father married Sadie (Howell) Gorman. She grew up and attended schools in the Leroy, ND, area. Bertha moved to Grand Forks when she was 18. She married John Urseth on June 25, 1935, in Grand Forks. They lived in Grand Forks. John died in 1998. She enjoyed gardening, keeping her house immaculate, and spending time with her family. Bertha is survived by her daughter, Jackie Wurzbacher of Grand Forks; brother, Leon (Gerry) Dubourt of Walhalla; sisters, Dorothy Eppler of Walhalla, Beatrice Huot of Edmonton, Alberta; daughter-in-law, Janice Urseth of Grand Forks; grandchildren, Scott Wurzbacher, Charles Wurzbacher, Brian Wurzbacher, Steven (Michelle) Urseth, and James Urseth; great-grandchildren, Ryan Wurzbacher, Luke Wurzbacher, Alyssa Wurzbacher, Chris Westman, Jenna Urseth, & John Urseth. She is preceded in death by her parents & stepmother; husband, John; son, Gordon; brother, Paul Dubourt; sisters, Jane Urseth, Alice Strand, Antoinette Eliason & Helen Dame; step-sisters, Bernice Gorman & Cheryl Gorman. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND. VISITATION: Tuesday, May 19, from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks. INTERMENT: Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
