Roberta Marie Murphy

Roberta M. Murphy, 47, died on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at her home in Grand Forks. Roberta Marie Murphy was born December 9, 1961, in Biddeford, Maine. Roberta was adopted by Ruth & Thomas Silvey. She grew up in Massachusetts and attended Framingham High School. Roberta lived in Texas and Arizona before moving to North Dakota in 1999. Roberta worked as a nursing assistant throughout her life until being diagnosed with lung cancer in 2001. She fought a courageous battle and overcame her cancer. She attended Sharon Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Roberta is survived by her brothers, Kenny & Mike Silvey; sisters, Ann Marie Cormier, Patsy Dube and Rena Dube, and special friend, John Erickson. She is preceded in death by her adoptive parents. MEMORIAL SERVICES: 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2009, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND. VISITATION: 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at Amundsons.
