Diane K. Olson, 52, Grand Forks, ND died Monday, June 1, 2009 surrounded by her family in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Diane Kay Kvamme was born September 16, 1956 in Blackfoot, ID the daughter of Eugene and Stella (Stenberg) Kvamme. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks and graduated from Red River High School in 1974. Diane married Ben Olson on June 7, 1974 in Grand Forks. They lived in Grand Forks where Diane worked as a bookkeeper for B&N Oil Co. In 1989, She began working in the office of Hugo's #2 where she was currently employed. Diane enjoyed spending time with her family at Golden Lake. She also enjoyed crochet, Jigsaw Puzzles, UND Hockey and NASCAR. Survivors include her husband, Ben, Grand Forks; children, Corey Olson, Kristy (Mark) Goodman and Laura Olson, all of Grand Forks; grandchildren, Taylor Schantz, Shayne Goodman and Garett Goodman; mother, Stella Kvamme, Grand Forks; sisters, Rita (Marlan) Moreland, Inkster, ND, Jeanie (Tim) Gust, Grand Forks, ND and Lorrie Hansing, Grand Forks, ND; brothers, Roger Kvamme, Grand Forks and Harlen Kvamme. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Eugene; brothers, Ronnie Kvamme and Terry Kvamme; mother-in-law, Stella Olson and father-in-law, Clarence Olson.
