Lois Field, age 75, of Grand Forks, passed away suddenly at Altru Hospital on Sunday, June 7, surrounded by her family. Lois was born on March 20 1934 at the family farm near Aneta, ND to Murray and Elsie (Lovejoy) McKenzie. She attended school in Logan Center and graduated in 1952 from Northwood High School. Lois married Curtis Field on October 15, 1952. Curtis died November 25, 1997. Lois worked at Kmart/ National Foods as a book-keeper for many years. She began work at Target when it opened and worked there as the sales auditor and in the fitting room until December of 2008. Lois was the rock of her family. She was known by many as being an excellent cook and baker. She loved to garden and spend time with her family. She especially loved her grandchildren and attending their activities. Lois is survived by her children, Steven, Grand Forks; Robbin (Connie), Thompson, ND; Lori Lambert, Grand Forks; Tami (John) Hilliard, Larimore, ND, her grandchildren Bridgette, Kayla, Bobby, Katie, Elise and Matthew. Her brother, David (Shirley) McKenzie, Fargo, ND; Margaret Wamstad Grand Forks, ND; James (Evie) McKenzie, Aneta, ND; Sister in-law Sharon (Richard) Saunders Fargo, ND; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Murray and Elsie (Lovejoy) McKenzie, and her husband, Curtis.
