Victor Ensrud

Victor N. Ensrud, 91, Grand Forks, ND died Sunday, June 7, 2009 in Valley Memorial Home Eldercare. Victor Norman Ensrud was born March 29, 1918 in rural Pekin, ND the son of Tobias and Anna (Quam) Ensrud. He attended schools at Pekin then worked as a farmer in the area. Victor married Ethel Messner in 1941 at Devils Lake, ND. They moved to Grand Forks, ND in 1948 where Victor worked for Great Northern Railways before going to work for the Grand Forks Airport where he was employed for 37 years. Victor was a walker and enjoyed time on his exercise bike. He also loved to travel. He married Gladys Korsmoe in 1971. She died April 2, 2009. Survivors include his daughter, Yvonne Kinney, Elmira, NY; son, Scott Ensrud, Kankakee,IL; son-in-law, Darrell Gilbertson, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Perry, Steven Kinney, Brett Kinney, Amber (Al) Yonker, Kelsey Ensrud, Lacey Ensrud, Jade (Molly) Gilbertson and Tifani Gilbertson; 9 great grandchildren; step children, Charles (Sandra) Korsmoe, Grand Forks, Roger (Joanne) Korsmoe, Grand Forks, Karen (Gerald) Sandberg, Las Vegas, NV. Victor was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Charlotte Gilbertson, twin sons Dwight and John Ensrud. and by 12 brothers and sisters.
