Fay Rieger

Fay E. Rieger, 49, Grand Forks, ND died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at home. Fay Ellen Danielson was born January 8, 1960 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Bernard and Ardelle (Huwe) Danielson. As a military child, she lived in Texas, Hawaii, Turkey and Taiwan before coming to Grand Forks at the age of 15. She graduated from Grand Forks Red River High School in 1978. Afterwards, she continued her education at Mayville State, UND, and the State School of Science at Wahpeton where she earned her Associate Degree in Applied Science. She returned to Grand Forks where she worked for Sharp Electric and later worked 19 years for Civil Service at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. Fay enjoyed camping, fishing, billiards, swimming, tanning on beaches, old movies, gardening, computers, dancing and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. She also loved frogs and the color yellow. Fay married James Rieger on March 18, 1988 at Augustana Lutheran Church of Grand Forks. Survivors include her son, Michael (Corinne) Rieger, West Fargo, ND; daughter, Heidi Rieger, Grand Forks, ND; parents, Bernard and Ardelle Danielson, Larimore, ND; sister, Debora Johnson, Clemmons, NC; brother, Gary (Phyllis) Danielson, Cabot, AR and sister, Carlene (Robert) Ballieu, Belden, MS. Fay was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl & Ellen Danielson of Parshall, ND and Herman & Tena Huwe of Perham, MN.
