Raymond Wilson

Raymond P. Wilson, 82, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of West Allis, WI and Mesa, AZ passed away on Sunday, July 19th, 2009 at Woodside Village in Grand Forks. Raymond P. Wilson was born on May 5, 1927 in Reynolds, ND the son of Raymond P. and Guida (Hegg) Wilson, Sr. Raymond grew up and attended rural grade school in Bentru Touwnship, Reynolds, ND and graduated from Central High School, Grand Forks, ND in 1945. After graduation, he joined the Air Force and upon returning from military duty, attended the University of North Dakota. In 1953, after receiving two degrees in engineering he moved to West Allis, WI where he worked for the city of West Allis as Assistant City Engineer until his retirement in 1985. After his retirement Ray spent his winters in Mesa, AZ and summers in WI and ND. Ray moved to Parkwood Place in Grand Forks, ND in May of 2008 and recently moved to Woodside Village in Grand Forks. Ray is survived by a brother, Wayne (Marlene) Wilson of Thompson, ND, a sister, Yvonne Hoeger of Peoria, AZ four nieces, Vicki (Mike) Holien of Scottsdale, AZl, Dawn Hoeger of Phoenix, AZ, Renee (David) Peterson of Velva, ND, Lynette (Brian) Rike of Mesa, AZ,, and seven great nieces and nephews, Adam Hoeger Carlson, Sarah Holien, Cassidy, Christopher and Olivia Peterson and Austin and Alec Rike. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Guida Wilson and a brother-in-law, Donald Hoeger.
