DeVelle Isaac Brown

DeVelle I. Brown, 21, of Grand Forks, passed away on July 17, 2009, in Murfreesboro, TN, while spending time recording music with his cousin, Mike Ballard. DeVelle was born on January 8, 1988, the son of Clemmie & Angela (Rudie) Brown in Grand Forks, ND. DeVelle graduated from Thompson High School in 2006. He received a degree in Welding Technology from East Grand Forks Technical College in 2007. DeVelle liked to sing and played many instruments, but guitar was his favorite. He loved country music most of all and he wrote songs to share with everyone. He could easily carry on a conversation with young or old. DeVelle also enjoyed all aspects of music, mudding in his truck, bonfires, & attending rodeos in support of his friend Austin. DeVelle lived life on the edge, and was a free spirit and had a kind heart. His friends were very special to him. DeVelle is survived by his parents, Clem & Angela Brown of GF; sister, Chandra Dorsey of Washington D.C.; grandparents, Elden & Esther Rudie of GF; Godparents, Rod & Bobbi Scilley of Thompson; Godchild, Elle Brueckner of Larimore; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. DeVelle is preceded in death by his grandparents Clemmie Sr. & Courtney Brown. MEMORIAL SERVICES: 5:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND. VISITATION: 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. prior to the service at Amundsons.
