Mary Ellen Jenson

Mary Ellen Jenson passed away at her home in Manvel, ND on July 24th, 2009. After a long struggle with illness, Mary has finally found rest in God. Mary's life began in Grand Forks, ND on October 29, 1955. She was one of three children of Elroy and Beverly Kvasager. She was raised in Grand Forks, and graduated from Central High School. She was married to Richard Jenson 27 years ago on September 25th, 1981. Richard and Mary moved to Manvel, ND shortly after their marriage. Mary spent her life enjoying the simple things. Far from being extravagant.family, friends, and fun times were her greatest joys. Throughout her life, her favorite memories were of those around her. Spending summers at the lake with family, caring for her husband and animals that meant so very much to her, giving love and attention to her child and grandchild, and taking pride in watching her family grow up around her were the focus of her time. She was the type of person that lifted up those around her. Her positive outlook, even when she was ill, was an inspiration to everyone. She gained many friends throughout the years, as she truly cared about others and could make anyone laugh when they needed it. Her faith in God gave her great peace as she was contemplating the nearing end. Although her time of peace and rest has come, she will be dearly missed by those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her husband Richard; son Shane (Karyn) of Kingman, AZ; sister Debra (Dennis) of Manvel, ND; step-sons Richard (Su) of Bellville, IL and Randy (Michelle) of East Grand Forks, MN; five grandchildren, Sara, Randy, Amber, Ricky, and Jessica; nieces Trish, Kacey, and Kelle; and nephew Tony. She is preceded in death by her father Elroy, mother Beverly, brother James, and granddaughter Alexandra.
