Kenneth Jordheim

Kenneth Rueben Jordheim, 92, of Grand Forks, ND died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center, Northwood, ND. Kenneth R. Jordheim was born September 24, 1916 the son of Knute and Rosine (Bakko) Jordheim. He grew up and attended school in Walcott, ND and graduated from high school there. Kenneth moved to Grand Forks in 1936. Kenneth married Dorothy Iverson on Dec. 14, 1940. She passed away in 1969. He served in the US Army from 1942 until being honorably discharged in 1946. Kenneth worked for the North Dakota State Mill from 1936 until retiring in 1984. He married Ethel Vakoc on Nov. 8, 1980. She passed away in 2005. Kenneth was very active in United Lutheran Church, where he sang in the choir. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings. Kenneth is survived by: Son: Alan and special friend Linda Hart - Larimore, ND Sisters: Dorothy Olson - Fargo, ND Gunver Hertsgaard - Fargo, ND Step children: Mary Ellen (Bill) Holland - Louisiana Bob (Shirley) Vakoc - Grand Forks, ND Grandchildren: Scott (Dyan) Jordheim, Jeff (Cara) Jordheim Step Grandchildren: Rob (Becky) Vakoc, Cheri (John) Koch 12 Great Grandchildren 1 Great Great Grandchild Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, wives Dorothy and Ethel, four brothers and two sisters.
