Lawrence Otto Dargus, 92, of Grand Forks and formerly of Warren, MN died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 in his home. Lawrence O. Dargus was born on September 7, 1916 in Warrenton Township, the son of Fred and Annie Dargus. He attended school in Boxville, MN until entering the U.S. Army in 1942. After returning from the service he operated Warren Radiator and Garage. He also owned and operated the Warren TV and Appliance Store and retired in 1976. He married Wanda Jean Johnson in June of 1942. Wanda Jean passed away on December 3, 1971. On November 19, 1977, Lawrence married Mildred Foote. Lawrence was a member of the D.A.V., American Legion, and the V.F.W. He was also a member of the Elks Club and Eagles Lodge. Lawrence is survived by: Wife: Mildred - Grand Forks Son: Robert (Cheryl) Dargus, Apache Junction, AZ Sister: Helen Munger - Warren, MN Step-children: Jerry Foote - Grand Forks Susan (Steve) Sande - Scottsdale, AZ Two Grandchildren; Three step grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.
