Agnes C. Lange, 89, Grand Forks, ND died Sunday, September 6, 2009 in Valley Memorial Home Woodside Village, Grand Forks. Agnes Caroline Lange was born March 10, 1920 in Union Township in Grand Forks County, ND the daughter of August and Mable (Lenz) Lange. She was raised and educated in Union Township. Agnes moved to Grand Forks in 1939. She began working in the café and later became the main cook at Deaconess Hospital of Grand Forks. During her career, she was honored as employee of the year. She continued her work as the Deaconess became part of United Hospital. Agnes worked as a hospital cook for 40 years before her retirement in 1982. Agnes was an exceptionally giving person who enjoyed spoiling her many nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed embroidering, cooking, baking and gardening. Agnes is survived by her sisters, Ella Fischer and Evelyn Lange, both of Grand Forks; brother, Ervin Lange, Grand Forks, and her many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond (Olga) Lange; sister, Alvina (Robert) Klamm; brother-in-law, Maynard Fischer and sister-in-law, Mary Lange.
