George W. Longmire, Jr., 59, of Grand Forks, ND died Thursday, September 24, 2009 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, surrounded by his children. George William Longmire, Jr. was born on July 12, 1950 in Grand Forks, the son of George and Gloria (Bergen) Longmire. George grew up and attended school in Grand Forks and graduated from Red River High School. He then attended and graduated from Mayville State University with a bachelors degree in business administration. George married and had two children, Chris and Carrie. George worked at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks until retiring. George was a very kind, caring and compassionate man who graced all who came along his path with his love a smile and a joke. He adored his entire family especially his children and grandson. Always working so hard to give them the world. George enjoyed to go bowling and was involved in league bowling for many years, where he met many friends. He was also a collector of many things, forever in search of a fantastic antique. He will be dearly missed by all. Although seeming to short we are all thankful for the times we shared and for all the love and happiness he brought into our lives. We are blessed to carry on his never ending love in our hearts into all eternity.
